Shoreshim Ministries is now hosting monthly meetings – Yeshivat HaShoresh - in Cleveland, Tennessee. The word yeshivat comes from the root word that means “to sit down.” Thus a Yeshivah is a place to sit down and learn. Our goal is to develop a meeting format that will resemble a Yeshivah or Hebrew school in which the participants can learn skills that will enable them to better study the Scripture from a Hebraic point of view. We at Shoreshim Ministries believe that the Messiah’s people are hungrier for the Word than ever before and need to be equipped as never before. Furthermore, uncertain times accentuate the need for like-minded people to find opportunities for fellowship and corporate learning. It is with these thoughts in mind that we are undertaking this endeavor.
THE LOGISTICS
The sessions will include basic Hebrew classes, Torah studies, a midrash (topic discussion) and an evening teaching presentation with Bill. Dates for these meetings are posted on our website itinerary page and will be updated intermittently. The meetings will be held at the Bradley Place Executive Plaza located at 1510 Stuart Rd. on the second floor. Unfortunately, there is no elevator so attendants will have to walk up two short flights of stairs.
Seating is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Though there are no required fees, registration is required! We can not guarantee you a seat if you have not registered for these sessions. Registration opens on the Monday following the previous meeting. When registering it is crucial that you provide complete and accurate contact information and also be sure to let us know how many are in your group. If after registering your plans change, please be courteous and alert us that you will not be coming. Many people will be placed on a waiting list and will be unable to attend if seats are filled. Your thoughtful consideration will open up seats for them.
Also, please take note of the fact that we do not offer any child care. Consequently, we are kindly encouraging those who wish to attend and have young children to consider making other arrangements for them. The reason for this is twofold: limited space and, because we are recording both video and audio, potential for disruptions must be kept to a minimum. This is not to say that children are unwelcome, they are. We do, however, expect that you will make every effort to ensure that your neighbor’s space and environment are respected. We hope that all will understand.

3:00 PM - 5:30 PM: TORAH PORTION TEACHING AND MIDRASH
5:30 PM -7:00 PM: DINNER BREAK (ON YOUR OWN)
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: TEACHING SESSION & HAVDALAH |
FOR THOSE UNABLE TO ATTEND
If you are unable to travel to Cleveland for these meetings but would like to participate, we are broadcasting these sessions over the internet via PalTalk. If you do not have PalTalk on your computer you can download a free version by going to www.paltalk.com. Through Paltalk you can listen to all of the sessions free of charge and can link to our website and view all of the Power Point presentations. Our room will be found under “Religion,”sub-category “Christian” under the name “Yeshivat HaShoresh.” The room will open shortly before 1:00pm ET the day of the class.
If you are not computer savvy or would just like to have recordings of these sessions to enjoy at your leisure, both audio and video recordings will be available for purchase approximately a week AFTER the monthly meeting. You may obtain these by calling our office or ordering from our online store. Please be aware that these recordings, though professionally produced, are unedited.
